2019-2020 Pitt County’s Industry of the Year - Minges Bottling Group

Greenville, NC (February 7, 2020) - Minges Bottling Group has been selected as the 2019-20 Pitt County Industry of the Year.  Each year, the Pitt County Economic Development recognizes a manufacturer or distributor that best represents our community as a model corporate citizen.



2016-2017 Pitt County’s Industry of the Year – Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery

Greenville, NC (Wednesday, February 22, 2017) A distinctive line of products with an equally distinctive brand was recognized Tuesday for its quality business performance and leadership in the Pitt County industrial community. Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery was selected by the Pitt County Economic Development as the county’s 2016-17 Industry of the Year as a manufacturer that best represents the community as a model corporate citizen, Brad Hufford, PCDC associate director for retention and expansion, said.



2015 -2016 Pitt County’s Industry of the Year – Mayne Pharma

GREENVILLE, NC (February 17, 2016) - A company that plans to invest $65 million in expanding facilities and add 100 employees to a 350 people staff was honored on Tuesday for its leadership and community impact. The Pitt County Economic Development named Mayne Pharma the Pitt County Industry of the Year on Tuesday, recognizing company for its expansion plans, employment opportunities and fostering relationships with the community, including East Carolina University and Pitt Community College.



2014-2015 Pitt County’s Industry of the Year - DSM Dyneema

Greenville, N.C. (March 3, 2015) — DSM Dyneema’s Greenville facility has been selected as the recipient of North Carolina’s Pitt County Industry of the Year award for 2014-2015 by the Pitt County Economic Development in recognition of their efforts to drive greater sustainability, social responsibility and economic prosperity to Pitt County, demonstrating the company’s role as a model corporate citizen.



2013-2014 Pitt County’s Industry of the Year - Metallix Refining, Inc.

GREENVILLE, NC (February 18, 2014) – Metallix Refining, Inc. has been selected as Pitt County’s Industry of the Year for 2013-2014. Each year, the Pitt County Economic Development requests nominations from Pitt County citizens to recognize a manufacturer or distributor that best represents the community as a model corporate citizen in specific selection criteria, including social, economic and environmental sustainability.



2012-2013 Pitt County’s Industry of the Year - DSM Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Greenville, NC (February 19, 2013) -- DSM Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has been selected as Pitt County’s Industry of the Year for 2012-2013. Each year, the Pitt County Economic Development requests nominations from Pitt County citizens to recognize a manufacturer or distributor that best represents our community as a model corporate citizen in specific selection criteria.  The criteria include demonstrated achievements in human, social, economic and environmental sustainability.



2011-2012 Pitt County’s Industry of the Year - Mestek, Inc.

2010-2011 Pitt County's Industry of the Year - Carolina Medical Products

March 1, 2011 - Henry Smith's 25-year commitment to his Farmville business and his community earned him business accolades Tuesday from the Pitt County Economic Development. Smith, 65, co-founded Carolina Medical Products Co. in the early 1980s with partner James Olsen, who has since retired. During a presentation at his business, Smith, who serves as company president, was given a plaque recognizing its selection as Pitt County's Industry of the Year.



2009-2010 Pitt County's Industry of the Year - Attends Healthcare Products

Greenville, NC (February 24, 2009) — Eastern Carolina Vocational Center (ECVC), Inc. has been selected as Pitt County’s Industry of the Year for 2009. Each year the Pitt County Economic Development solicits nominations from Pitt County citizens to recognize a manufacturer or distributor that has surpassed the already high corporate standards in this community. This year PCDC revamped the Industry of the Year requirements to better reflect the mission to maintain a sustainable economy.
